I am both a registered and a senior accredited member of BACP.
I am also a member of the Association of Family Therapy.
I have an enhanced DBS check.
I am trained to Masters level to work with individuals of all ages, couples, parents, families, older adults and adult sibling groups.
I also work with separating and divorcing couples - or with post-divorce/separation families - to ease the process of this transition for all members of the family system.
I specialise in helping clients process trauma and these clients benefit from receiving pyschoeducation based on neuroscience which often enables greater self-acceptance of themselves and their triggers/symptoms - rather than a pathologising and labelling of their symptoms/protective stances as depression, anxiety and some other 'disorder'.
I have over 25 years experience of therapeutic practice across a wide range of work contexts - these include GP surgeries, NHS Mental Health teams, Relate centres, schools, University Counselling Services and Employee Assistance Schemes.
I set up my own independent practice 15 years ago to offer a flexible, customised and client led service.
I endeavour to meet with you within a week of first contact.
Please get in touch to discuss your specific needs for counselling and/or psychotherapy.
I am also registered to provide for those with BUPA health coverage.
